One of the plugins I’m working on is going to perform an action on configurable schedule. I knew that WordPress included a cron feature into the core for release 2.1, but I haven’t used it yet. A quick search found this great article by Glenn Slaven on doing just that.
This was shaping up to be the biggest hurdle in developing the plugin. There’s still some work to do with configuration, but Glenn’s article makes the technical part pretty easy to handle.
